Murdered man responsible for his own death?

According to this report that ran on Rediff about the security of Indian nationals in Afghanistan, voicing heightened concerns after the abduction and murder of the Indian engineer K Suryanarayana

- a high-level team which assessed the security measures for Indians in Afghanistan has opined that the protective arrangements were adequate but there was a need to follow these properly and religiously by the individuals

Now that's just peachy, is it not?

Engineers are needed in Afghanistan to help the terrorised nation limp back to normalcy. Considering that development of infrastructure is crucial towards the restoration of order in Afghanistan, shouldn't engineers and architects be well protected?

Is it that because some engineer's country of origin has not sent troops to the ISAF, he will more or less be left to fend for himself?

While there is little doubt left in the Indian mind about the value of an Indian life, not to speak of a Hindu life, this proposal that efforts to restore normalcy to Afghanistan are a strategic interest not only adds insult to injury, but also shows the hollowness of Britain's commitment to the restoration of democracy in the war-torn nation.

My prediction is that India is going to take this lying down, as it has everything else thus far. It seems to be a matter of pride for India that a bunch of brigands can endanger the security of its nationals on foreign soil.
